Spotlight - Strange Feathers
12m
Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Theatre
Title of Performance: Strange Feathers
Country: Ireland
A co-production with Riverbank Arts Centre (Ireland), Fidget Feet (Ireland), & the Bird & Bat (Iceland).
Two little birds are learning to fly with the help of their surroundings in nature. Feathers drop from the sky to the beautiful sounds of soft music inviting the children to explore, interact, and discover new things about their world. With two aerial dancers & a musician on stage, Strange Feathers mixes contemporary dance, aerial dance and live music, in a humorous, immersive & interactive way. Created by an aerial choreographer from Ireland & a dance choreographer from Iceland both with 20yrs+ of experience each, the show is a beautiful blend of these two cultures. This non-verbal show which can be performed twice in a day is performed in the round with the audiences sitting on their very own nests (large cushions.) The families can make bird masks before the show starts & are invited on to the performance area after the show.
