Juan Salvador Tramoya
Title of Performance: Juan Salvador Tramoya
Country: Chile
The show is a tragicomic and Chaplinesque tinged delirium, in which the gesture game and laughter tell us about the subtle and important difference between what they say we should be and what we really are. Juan Salvador Tramoya presents the apparent routine of a character with the sole and simple task of tidying up things, but whose rich imagination transports us to absurd and unexpected places, making us get into what he really is, a valuable and inimitable human being.
Since its beginnings, La Mona Ilustre has been a touring company. We’ve been in Chile, Mexico, France, Belgium, Spain, Norway, Brazil, Argentina and Taiwan. We aspire to keep broadening the scope of our audiences by performing in other countries, with a strong interest in North America, a part of the continent still unknown to us. The universal and popular traits of the show, the almost complete absence of words, and the small size of the production makes it an ideal and easy show to deliver.
